Good cheap nailer, bought mine in harbor freight, comes with a rubber mallet, and 2 non scratch pads, one for 3/4" wood, and one for 5/8" (I think). I installed 3/4" Oak, worked just fine. Renting at Home Depot rates, you can buy 10 of these. Use 2" ,16ga cleat nails for 3/4" wood. It takes 1.5" cleat also and some type of staple, thus they call it 2 in 1
Not suitable for my project

Back story:
I am in the process of installing about 1600 square feet of 9/16 inch strand woven bamboo flooring in my house. I started by renting a Powernail 50p from Home Depot. I underestimated the magnitude of the job, thinking I could do the first room in a four hour rental. Getting the hang of using an air nailer took up most of that time, so I kept it for the next time increment, 24 hours. The first room still isn't done, but at least I have a feel for the tool. However, at this rate I'm better off buying a nailer and selling it when the floors are done.

So, I went to Harbor Freight to buy an air nailer, so I wouldn't have to interrupt work to wait for one to be shipped. This was what they had, so this is what I bought.

I tested it on a piece of scrap and every nail (16 gauge cleats of the same brand) split the tongue of the test piece. They weren't just small cracks; the tongues were almost broken off. The only significant split with the rental nailer (which uses 18 gauge cleats) was when I had the pressure set way too high. The rest was great.

Anyway this nailer is going back to the store as soon as possible. It's just not suitable for strand woven bamboo. It may work for other woods, but it's not the tool for my floors. It's going back to the store as soon as I get a chance; it's a good thing I kept the receipt.

Another shortcoming affects everyone: this doesn't have a safety, just a lot of cautions in the manual.
