Definitely worse for the brown sugar. It cancels out all the good parts of bacon.

Product is good, only complaint is the expiration date ( shelve life) was coming up soon

This was a terrible idea for jerky. Honestly, I've become fond of various jerky, and even tried alligator jerky (not bad). But bacon jerky is always a naughty little treat. Who doesn't love bacon? If you're reading this, it's safe to assume that you do and you're curious. Don't be! This was not worth it. The jerky arrived on time, and packaged just as we see here. That's where the pleasantries end. The idea of sweet barbecue is fantastic until you tear open the bag, reach your hand in, and pull out a glob of sticky, gooey, barbecuey mess. It's not just barbecue flavored like a bag of chips or sunflower seeds.... OHHH NOOO! It's literally slathered in barbecue sauce! It seemed more practical to fork out bits of this bacon jerky instead of getting my hands covered in goop. And yes, there was soooo much fatty mess it just wasn't worth the effort. Very FEW pieces of beloved firm, chewy jerky and much more unrendered bacon fat chunks. The texture was gross.

Sugar, sugar, sugar. Loaded with the sugar and that is about all you can taste. The texture is also weird. I wish they could make a decent jerky style product without loads of sweetener.
