This simmer sauce is delicious! It is the perfect blend between sweet and sour. It tasted delicious as part of a stir fry with mushrooms and rice. I previously tried another flavor (yellow in color) of this brand and liked this one much more. I also love that it is dairy free.

I have spent some time in Vietnam and am a huge fan of Vietnamese food. So when I saw this product, the ingredients made my mouth water and I had to give it a try. I was not disappointed, as the flavor and smell instantly brought me back to eating some of my favorite dishes in Vietnam. It's flavor is very authentic and definitely worth trying!

I recently received this sauce and was very impressed with both the ingredients and the flavor. I love the healthy, organic ingredients. They taste very fresh. And there is a lot of flavor, without being too overwhelming. I was actually a bit skeptical, as garlic and lemongrass can be a bit strong. But the recipe allowed for the flavors to blend very nicely. I use this sauce to simmer vegetables, as well as an additional to curry dishes.

This is the second of two Simmer Sauces that I've tried from Star Anise Foods. I used this with a pork loin and sliced mushrooms. On the advice of a friend, I also added a half-can of coconut milk to the pan as it cooked. The smell of the food was mouthwatering, and when served with some steamed broccoli, it was a dish that I'd be proud to serve company. The lemongrass and garlic were a wonderfully enticing combination. The total cook time was only 40 minutes from the time I started oven-roasting the pork loin. Very delicious meal that I look forward to enjoying again.
