Great for Under-Cabinet lighting and Gun Safe lighting

These worked great for putting under cabinet lighting in my kitchen. I used these combined with some 5630 LED strips and a 12V 5A power supply to make customer under cabinet lighting for my kitchen and lighting for my gun safe. I like the fact that the clips can hold the light slightly away from the mounting surface (about 1/8") to help dissipate heat. They cut easily with a regular wood cutting chop saw if you first wrap the cutting area with tape to keep the filter from separating, or you can cut the filter with a pair of scissors or blade, and use a hack saw to cut the metal. I wish the hole in the end cap was slightly larger, but it was easy to simply re-drill larger. Keep in mind, if using 5630 LED strips in this channel, you will have to solder since there is no room for clip-on power connectors. Smaller LED strips may not have this issue.

I'm very happy with these. I've used the led strips in my kitchen and the glue just won't hold and the lites are very bright looking head on. These are perfet for several reasons.
The glue on the led sticks very well to the aluminum. Maybe too well, be careful laying the lights in. And wipe the inside after mounting with rubbing alcohol before sticking the led lights.
The design is only slightly bigger than the led strip. Something like 5/8th wide and 1/2" thick when the cover/diffuser is installed. It's quality made and seaming 2 pieces together looked pretty unnoticeable.
I used finish nails to install it. Pre-drill a small hole in the corners on an angle as often as possible. Use a finish nail that's slightly snug in the pre-drilled hole and finish with a nail punch. This leaves a very small objet in the tray. The small finish nail head won't intrude into the flat area allowing for perfect light strip installation.
I also used a cctv camera power supply to use as all the lights power source. Remote switches run on 18 AWG wire. Just a thought.

I've bought other sets of this type of channeling before and they were no where near as thick as these are. Much thicker aluminum than I expected for the price. Actually, they're thicker than the Klus units I've purchased before as well.

These things are quality made. They are perfect for 10mm LED strips. I used them with some pure white LED strips as well as RGBs, and they worked great. The clips are sturdy and the adhesive stuck well to the aluminum. The channels are easily cut with a hacksaw.
Cons: The main reason I bought these was to disguise the individual LEDs so that it would look like a bar of light rather than a strip of LEDs. However, the diffuser still allows for the individual LEDs to be seen, although it is more subtle. The other issue I had with these is that I could have used a lot more end caps and clips. You may need to buy extra.

I ordered these to put a bias light on the back of my TV. This allows me to have a nice clean look. I just wish they had nice way to splice them them together short of some tape.
