This replaced a 10 year old GE microwave whose buttons stopped working. The installation was fairly easy and straightforward. The button placement is a bit different but still has the same functionality as our previous model. The only complaint is that it is not finger print resistant, otherwise it does its job and heats the food pretty quickly. It also has a nifty sensor that recognizes when something has been placed in the microwave for heating.

I really like this microwave. Nice design and has everything we need on it.
Caution though: When I was about to install the support bracket, I layed the template they give you, on the counter and then layed the support bracket over it. The holes drawn on the template weren't lining up with the actual bracket holes so I couldn't use the template. Not good. I'm glad I checked first. I got it figured out after a change of plans. Make sure you check yours too
I hope they look into it and make sure they've got the right template with this microwave.

We had a GE microwave from 2009 that worked flawlessly, but it was time to upgrade to stainless steel. Since we had god luck with the prior model, we stuck with the same brand. The new microwave is very sleek and clean, straight lines that gives it a very, very modern look. The display is very clear in bright blue. There's multiple options and settings (clock on or off, multiple speeds of the fan, and a cooking light and night light). Overall we are incredibly happy with the appearance, functionality and quality.

Since we stuck with the same brand, it made installing the new one an absolute dream. For once, a company decided not to change what was never broken! So while it's an entirely new microwave and looks different inside and out, we thrilled that GE didn't make any changes to the mounting brackets. The mounting kit, templates, parts and installing bag were never opened! We literally set the new microwave on the old wall plate, raised it up in place and screwed it in with two provided screws (even in the same holes, above). It took 7 minutes--not an exaggeration!

Built in obsolescence caused the demise of our 10 year old GE Profile Series microwave, so I began my search for the newest replacement still being made. Why GE can't just provide that information on the old model's page is beyond me, instead GE wastes your time taking you down obsolete appliance "memory lane." Once I determined which model I needed, the only logical place to get it was from Amazon. The package arrived exactly when promised with no damage to it at all. My fix it guy installed it in less than 30 minutes without any glitches and the new one works like a dream.

Very easy to install particularly if you are replacing an older GE spacesaver. The clock emits an obnoxiously bright white light that cannot be adjusted. So I turned it off. And the manufacturer skimped on the nightlight setting which I miss a lot. Not a lot of bells and whistles but a very capable replacement with a few cool new features like "melt." I'm a little concerned about previous reviewers who complained about the surface of the brushed stainless peeling away, as well as the unit breaking down within a year of purchase. Time will tell. So far, so good.
