I used this and received a lower than expected value. I then decided to try each strip twice and received very different readings on each try. I definitely used enough blood. I do not think this is accurate. I bought this because I wanted to see the difference before and after a diet and as I incorporated natural alternatives to statins. I had a cholesterol test 1 week ago and tried this before beginning any changes and this is drastically different from my fasting lab tests. I could believe that maybe my cholesterol changed in a week but after using each strip twice and getting largely different results I do not think this is accurate. This also falsely claims you can determine LDL which is not true. Technically if you know a previous vldl value you could get a rough guess using a formula but this is still a guess

I bought the same kit to measure the cholesterol. I had an accurate results - almost no different between Doctor's results and mine at home.
There are only 3 strips so I bought the pack of 25 total cholesterol strips (not on Amazon). Today I have measured my total cholesterol with new memory chip and strips twice, from different fingers. Here are my results: 246, 287 !!!!
So, where we can find an accurate strips? Or shall we always buy 3 strip package? It is more expensive.
Both strip packages are made by PTS.
