We bought these because my daughter dances ballet and she's obsessed with the animated movie Leap! If you've seen it, you know Felicie the main character wears ballet slippers just like this. When my daughter saw them, she gasped. When she first tried them on, she thought they felt uncomfortable. I actually think it's b/c they are more supportive than her regular ballet slippers (thicker). She now wears them daily to dance around the house so she's gotten used to them feeling differently than her others.
