Best purchase of 2021

Sharp cut out of the box. I bought the optional T-blade with it. Don't regret this purchase at all and the cordless is a new convenience to my arsenal. It was between this and the BabyBliss trimmers. I felt like this was the better choice. Quality build - great power - and blades don't overheat. A great addition for a professional barber or self-made bathroom barbers who cut their own heads.
A bit heavy

The shaver is a bit heavy and awkward to hold at times. Worried it may fall. A bit rough on the skin but the blade may just need to be adjusted. Close shave.
The Power Of Feedback | The Bevel Trimmer is a true winner

Tristan and his team have indeed created something special. The Bevel Trimmer is the epitome of excellent product design. The due diligence that the Bevel team has put into this product is astounding.
Design: Most trimmers on the market are unreliable, made out of cheap plastic, and get hot quickly. The Bevel Trimmer's ingenious design is a breath of fresh air. The aluminum grip keeps the grip cool and allows you to cut more efficiently. The trimmer also has no loss of power when used wirelessly. The battery life is also fantastic. I have not charged the trimmers in months.
Blade Sharpness: When the Bevel Trimmer first came out, I was genuinely excited that a product that is such an essential product in the African-American community was being made for us, by us. When I saw a few initial reviews of the Bevel Trimmer, I read the discouraging news that trimmers were not sharp enough (hitting). I am happy to say that last year (2017), this problem has been fixed with updated blades from Bevel (V2). I purchased the Bevel Trimmer last Fall for my Father, a long time user of Andis & Wahl, and he loved it. He said it was the sharpest blade he has used, which says a lot. I received the Bevel Trimmer as a gift for the holidays, and I have had the same experience. Tristan and his team have listened to customer feedback and improved on the Bevel Trimmer.
Competition: The main competitor for the Bevel Trimmer is the Andis T-Outliner, probably the most common trimmer in barbershops in the community. I have used this trimmer before, and it often gets misaligned and heats up pretty quickly. This is why most Professional Barbers have to modify the Andis T-Outliner to fix those issues. With the Bevel Trimmer, these problems simply do not exist. The Bevel Trimmer features a quick-release Blade that can be adjusted in seconds. It also includes a "Zero-Gap" feature that adjusts the sharpness of the blade with a turn of a dial. This is a revolutionary new design, and I could just imagine the possibilities of the quick release system. (More Below)
Value: At about $200, many would say that this is an overpriced product and I would have to disagree. This is a premium product designed for long-term use. The Bevel trimmer is an evolving product that is updated every quarter with improvements. With the innovative quick release system, the Bevel Team will be launching a T-Liner blade that could be interchanged with the current blade that ships with the Bevel Trimmer. The Bevel Trimmer's foundation has provided the company with a myriad of options in the future.
Conclusion: The Bevel team has knocked it out the park with the Bevel Trimmer. I cannot wait to see what they release in the upcoming months. The Bevel Trimmer represents the power of listening to customer feedback and not becoming complacent.

Very good product, theoretically
SSgt✓ Verified Purchase•October 6, 2023
Very good product, theoretically. I love the idea of a high-end trimmer that is cordless, has a slick adjustable blade, and is seemingly a good product overall, however therein lies the issue. This product is good and not great. Mind you, my product arrived in pre-used condition as well, which I didn't take any stars away for because I'm sure that this is an uncommon mishap for a company looking to survive and even thrive in their industry. So, after letting my disgust with receiving a used trimmer pass, I cleaned and disinfected the product and used it on both my hair and beard. The biggest drawback is that the trimmer doesn't cut well, even after adjusting it several times. I've read other reviews and most have had similar issues. If you want a razor sharp line, then you'll be frustrated with this trimmer. Maybe if you're savvy you can either sharpen the blade or have it done by a professional. Just know that out of the box, this product may not be the best application for whatever your objective is. I do like it, just not at that price point when Wahl, Oster, Andis, etc. will do a better job fo wayyy less money.
No skin irritation. Perfect shaving solution.

Deserves 5 stars. Excellent clipper. I finally found a trimmer for my face that won't create skin irritation -- including bumps. Thank goodness. Thanks bevel. Fully worth $200. Replaces my Andis t outliner for shaving.
I just wish I purchased this earlier! Also, I did not need to adjust it. Worked great for me out the box. Didn't zero gap.
Also, for those still battling razor bumps, using this shaver wasn't the only thing that fixed my issue. I believe it was my routine for my sensitive skin:
1. Use this trimmer for shaving face (it was too harsh for my neck so I use to outliner for that)
2. Immediately use an alum bloc. Rub that on face and neck. Let it sit for ~2m. Then rinse with cool water. Pat dry.
3. Apply bc skin tight to face and neck. Let it sit for ~2m
4. Apply AHAVA soothing after shave cream
Doing the steps above have completely erased all my troubles of razor bumps and burns. A huge help to that was learning my skin and finding the right razor for my skin (which is the bevel trimmer). I never tried the double edge razor from Bevel because I've tried a DE razor before and it wasn't pretty.
I hope the above helps someone! I'm certainly happy with my purchase.
