Gorgeous, & similar to...

This is an absolutely GORGEOUS floor. It's not nearly as "red" as it shows in the listing. Jackson Hole is a gorgeous brown with a soft, luminous finish that is somewhere between matte and semi (closer to matte, but not matte) and just enough distressing to make it look natural without looking overly rustic or with the dark "splotches" some floors have. Color-wise, it's almost identical to one at Home Depot by Shaw, called "Western Hickory Click Espresso," but the Shaw one has more black added and the grain is open where dirt could get in (I can put my fingernail well into them) -- no such problem with the Hurst Jackson Hole samples (& I bought a lot of them).
If Jackson Hole came in an engineered (since I'm buying for an open floor plan that includes a kitchen), I'd buy it in a heartbeat. This is a beautiful, thick solid. (The wear layers on the numerous engineered floor samples I've gotten from Hurst Hardwoods are much thicker than those I've seen at HD or Floor & Decor.) My impression is that Hurst is a high-quality company. Wish they had what I'm looking for: this in an engineered version.
