This works great for our medium sized Yorkie.
The build quality is good for the price and it fits our decor nicely.
We've had this for quite a while now and it's holding up well. The only complaints we've had are that our dog was chewing on the wood. I believe that he was teething at the time. He has now stopped. This is not the manufacturer's fault.
Our dog also managed to get out a few times. The lock works, but he somehow managed to get it open. We ended up using a carabiner to keep it closed for a week and he hasn't gotten out since (even though we removed the carabiner). The lock could be designed a little better to thwart the escape of dogs that dabble in lock picking.

Absolutely adorable!! I believe it is stained and not painted as some of the wood grain show through on the white trim. I am going to repaint the trim and just get a semi gloss clear coat to cover the blue. It is such a pretty shade of blue. I found know splinters just rough edges around the doorway and sanded it off just took a few seconds. Took very little time to put together and it was very easy. All the screws lined up with the holes very well. Many complements on it. Dogs love it.

Love it! Our Shih Tzu does too. It's a good hididng place for him. We didn't screw the the top on just so we could open it and clean it if we needed it. The only thing I wish would be different is not to have the door already installed.
