Great utility knife.

Just buy this inexpensive little gem! I have a similarly shaped Norwegian knife (Helle Nying) that I don't carry it around much due to sentimental value, but love the stubby design. This chubby little guy is great for shoving in a pocket, camping supply box, or some nook/cranny in your car. The blade is very stubby and the handle is a bit short, but it has girth enough for a very solid and comfortable grip. I discovered that you can actually reverse it in the sheath to get a little extra length on the handle (though I would not recommend doing anything that requires a lot of force when used that way). Blade seems well hardened and has held it's edge. It arrives functionally sharp, but not well honed. Give it 5 minutes on a high grade whetstone and it will serve you well as a great little workhorse.
Very User Specific.

The knife itself is GREAT. Sharp right out of the box. Great for small carving jobs and camp chores. Very user specific. Works well as a neck knife or to keep in a fire kit to prepare fat wood and strike a ferro rod. Spine is super sharp, almost to sharp. Sheath retention is good. I don't think you need the additional expense of the model with the strap. I ordered the Yellow color option for visibility, however, it is more of a dark yellow brown color. Not a deal breaker but definitely not yellow.
Grippy sharp chubby little knife

This is the perfect sized small knife for most chores and tasks. with such a large handle and short blade this knife has excellent control and a huge amount of leverage. It's a little fat for carrying in a normal pocket, I usually keep it mid thigh pocket/"cellphone pocket." a fantastic little knife that works well and looks cute enough to use around non-outdoorsy people without looking like a tacticool weapon.
A great skinner

This knife is perfect for skinning an animal or trimming fat. It's also great for large scale carving in soft wood. Carving requires a razor edge that has to be prepared after you get the knife, but once on, it holds quite well.
A few minor issues, great user knife.

I think this is a really cool evolution of Mora knives. I love the size of this knife. It is really cool to be able to get a full grip on such a small knife. I feel like this knife has the capability for very fine work. Despite its small size, the Eldris feels to me like it is acutally heavier than a Mora classic 1, but I think that could be because the handle feels more dense. My Eldris did not come as sharp as some of my other Mora knives did, and that was slightly disappointing. I also have noticed that the grinds, especially the profile grind on the tip are a bit uneven and the grind lines are wavy. The blade is slightly warped, but it is hardly noticeable. Despite a couple minor fit and finish issues, I really like the great functionality of this knife and how well it handles for its small size. The Eldris is a pleasure to use and I have really enjoyed it so far.
