It weighs too much - mic stand falls over
BB✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 2, 2018
I have a heavy mic stand with a 6 pound weighted base and it makes it fall over. It also doesn't have a long enough arm and scrapes the pole. It's useless for a mic stand unless it's a huge tripod base, and even then I'd be concerned about it knocking over. . I can only attach it to my roadie cart or use it on a table or the floor. You can't say it isn't sturdy, though. Bypass this and get an Ipad holder instead.
Useless

First of all, it weighs a ton. One false move and your entire mic stand will fall over, because once attached to the mic stand, it's completely top-heavy. Second, there is no way to attach this and tilt it backwards at all. The horizontal arm is way too short, so when you try to tilt the plate backwards a little bit so that your paperwork won't fall off, you can't, because the plate hits the mic stand, and won't go back any further. What is the point?? Papers/chord sheets/notebooks/tablets will not stay on this thing if they have to sit completely upright, without any backwards tilt. This thing is totally useless. Returning it.
Works ok, not great. A little heavy.

The materials fairly solid, especially for the cost. But they're held together with relatively weak fasteners so the other all feel when using it is DIY. Which in itself is kind of a boon, as you'll be quick to modify for your own needs. A dab of loctite will go a long way with this thing. Works great for thinner mic stands, but was too narrow to fit any of our more durable stands. If the c clamp was just a 1/2" wider the stand would be waaaay more useful.
Doesn't tilt backward

The material is good quality, however I cannot figure out how to arrange the tray so that it tilts back to any degree. Too bad, too, as thre's so much thought that's gone into the flexibility forward. Truly a puzzle.
Heavy but sturdy

After much ado with the delivery of this item, it arrived. It's a really nice, sturdy item, but it is HEAVY. AS. HELL. I bought it for portability and it is definitely not that. But I tried it on both the base and the swing arm of my mic stand and it works on both, exactly as described, no issues.
