I bought these as bowling ball stands, which they have pictured in the product images, but in my opinion, it doesn't work that well for bowling balls. The cups are a bit small and do not contour the shape of a bowling ball. When I have a bowling ball in this cup, it is not easy to spin the ball around, and the ball can tip out fairly easily. The Storm Ball Cup is better suited for bowling balls as the Storm cup contours the ball, and allows the ball to rotate in the cup more smoothly.
If you simply want to hold your bowling ball for display or storages purposes, these will do the job and are a great value. However, if you want to use the ball stand to hold your ball while you clean it, this is not very well suited for that.
