I used item for a bathroom window, material was more of a sateen look I used the wider opening of the valance on the rod to give a more ruffled look.
Nice decent valance

Love them
Look great, even from the outside. Effectively blocks light and subdues heat.

(This is my second purchase of these curtains.) I first bought 2 sets for one room to try them out. They arrived very quickly, which was helpful so I could install them on my day off. They look good from the outside, which is important since I live in a condo complex with strict HOA rules. (My previous black-out curtains were the old type made of rubberized material, and they were cracking and looking pretty shabby from the outside.)
So I purchased this second set of 2 for another room using a tension rod on the inner sides of the windows. Neighbors passing by noticed the difference and asked where I got them. I have recommended they come here to Amazon for them. Packaging came in tact, product is easy to install on just about any size curtain rod. At the top, there are 2 possible diameters of rods they will accomodate...slim to heavier. If you want to "dress" up your window with something "froofy", I put flowered sheer side panels on the outer sides of bedroom window to match my decor.
(Photos show large window, inside measurements: 58" wide (across), and 57" high. I used 3 panels on a tension rod over white min-blinds. 2nd photo is narrower window, inside measurements 34" wide (across) and 57" high. I used 2 panels on tension rod over mini-blinds for this one.) So I ultimately needed 3 pairs/sets of the white curtain panels to complete these 2 windows, using up 5 of the panels. The remaining panel was used later on another project.

I used these in a dining area. I used 1 panel in each 31 inch space. I am very pleased with them although I am still adjusting to get everything to hang exactly as I want. Amazon asks for reviews before you get it out of the box. Very pleased with the quality for the price I paid.
