Love my bio cubes!
Jamielh1•July 31, 2017
I love my bio cube! This is my 4th biocube. They are awesome tanks. This one has a few minor issues, but the seller has been more than helpful, the manufacturer is great to deal with. I highly recommend this tank. The stand needs a little reinforcement, but it's easy to do.
Good tank if you like the cube look, get it as cheap as possible

Great tank for a novice. The LED's are not strong enough for the advanced aquarium keeper. I have since removed the lights and installed a Retro-Fit. Chopped up the filter in the back to make way for a larger skimmer. The stand is decent when assembled with Gorilla Glue, the doors are very sensitive and prone to breaking. Overall I like it and it will stay for a while.
Buy Aquarium only

Absolutely love this aquarium! It's better than I thought it would be, however the stand .. is less than adequate. Very poorly designed and even came in with broken window pane in the door.
Love my biocube and stand

Love my biocube and stand. New to the reefing side of saltwater aquariums. I added the Coralife protein skimmer and the inTank fuge column. All is running very well with happy fish and several corals.
Love this! Well thought out design!

I did not buy my first one on Amazon because I found it on another site cheaper but have bought two of the 32's Coralife LED Biocubes so far.
I have had a lot of different tanks over the years, was about to buy the JBL 45, which I liked, but the glass is so heavy, I believe it can't support itself. I got one and it cracked right up the back of the sump barely moving it. Returned it, the 2nd came with a crack at the bottom right corner so it leaked. Then carefully putting it back in box, it cracked right up the back of the sump. I didn't want to get a bio cube because I thought it looked a little dated, and I liked the rimless look, but I ordered the 32 gallon Coralife after researching the new modifications they have done. I have only had it a few weeks but it is the coolest tank I have ever had. The LED's are nice, love the moonlight and the timer options of sunrise/sunset.
This is the first bio cube to have a surface skimmer up top and one down low, in which both go into the sump. All the other models I have had, just had the upper surface skimmer so stuff would be floating in the water column forever, even with power heads blowing the bottom. The pump is sufficient, although I prefer 15x water volume in a pump for my type of setup, FOWLR with bare bottom. I put a piece of tape and marked the water line on the side viewer for where I want to have my max water set to. Love the wet/dry filter option. Being my first cube I realized, the water line is above the top frame so you don't see the chalky outline that you would see above the water line on a rimless.
The top holds in humidity so less dehydration, which is great, also I realized, no salt creep! This sold me. I don't have salt all over the place. The lights look so good with the lid because they don't shine allover the ceiling and room and glare in your eyes when your sitting watching tv, like the modern rimless. The glass is clear as crystal and the curve is lovely. I don't care what people say about the fan being noisy, it is in no way noisy at all. I almost didn't buy it because of that complaint, but glad I took the risk because I don't hear it unless I am near it trying to. This lil bugger is cool as hell! Just wanted to let you guys at Coralife know, this tank is the bomb. I bought two 32's and when can afford will buy another. I have a huge reef rock that goes in each, along with a pair of clowns each that I breed. Why so many cubes? Because I breed a variety of fish that can't be in the same tank together.
I don't like keeping my fish in a little 10 gallon broad stock tank. I plan to order 2 of the 16's to use for quarantine tanks. I have a 400 gallon main display I have been working on but love these cubes. The only thing that I can find that you guys could change to make it a hair better is... I like to set the return to spray across the water surface, creating a decent little bit of splash for oxygen/carbon dioxide exchange, and this does it great. But of course the water humidifies on the LED's, which it is protected and no big deal, but when you open the lid, all the moisture hanging from the lid, drips to the back and in a few places, where there are holes for the cords to fit out the back, water drips out there.
You did make an edge to prevent it all around, but it will drip through those electrical cord holes in the back if you have water splashed up on inside of lid and then you lift the lid. If you point your return where their is no splash you don't have to worry about opening the lid and the dripping out the back. So What I did is put a small tight sponge in the back two cord holes, so water doesn't drip through them and down the back of the tank. Like I said, the normal person won't have that issue probably, I like a decent surface agitation. But there could be a little modification done to prevent any drip out the back at all around those two electrical cord holes. I like how the rim is made around the rest of the aquarium so if the lid drips around most the tank, it has a ledge so it drips inside the top frame and the accumulated drips will drip back into the aquarium. Well done guys!!! Wish I could post a photo of my set up. My final comment: Whoever designed this one, Awesome job because it was well thought out.
Now, for the next aquarium design, can you make one just like the 32, but at least twice as wide, it would then have to have two pumps on each side, two returns, 4 drains into sump (2 upper surface skimmers on each side and two lower)? haha.
P.S. People need to realize too, this is an all in one aquarium with a sump. If you buy a rimless, you have to buy the lights, which will cost you minimum $250 plus. This comes with pump, lights, media tray basket, carbon. Lights are beautiful! The only thing you need is a heater, rock and fish. Anything else is optional. They do have skimmers that will fit inside the sump in back.
