If your looking for something that involves being outdoors and is fun for the whole family, this is a great product! My kids got it as a Christmas gift and really love the challenge of walking across the imaginary lava pit.
However, a word of caution... there is a reason that the instructions say to set up the slackline around knee height. I found this out when I decided to bravely cross the lava pit of doom. I was about midway across when my confidence decided to leave me and my legs began dancing like a wiggly worm hitting the hot pavement. What happened next left me second guessing my decision setting up the slackline around hip height. Both feet went outwards leaving the extremely tension line that was sagging due to my weight to spring up as I was coming down. The sound of the slap was quickly heard before the pain began to surge, and all that was left to do was roll over and fall helplessly into the lava pit of doom. I felt as if my manhood was forever gone as my voice regressed to my teenage years of puberty. My facial expressions changing as I tried to utter "I'm okay" words to my wife who was laughing harder than she's ever laugh in her life. I finally regained my thoughts and slowly developed super powers to crawl out of the lava pit of doom... my children cheering me on.
This Christmas will never be forgotten and I owe it all to my lack of reading instructions that came with the Slackline Kit.

Christmas gift so can't review product. The package did come Very promptly, however, and based on the box, is everything they're going to need to scare the crap out of their Mom...while having lots of fun and building core strength.

When I was a kid, I begged my dad to string up a tightrope in the garage. (Can't imagine why he wouldn't do it, concrete floor and all.) Last week, I bought this slackline kit on a whim after seeing it on YouTube. I'm my mid-50s now, and though my DH thought I was crazy (entirely possible), he helped me string the line (and the guide-line up above) between two trees about 30-40 feet apart. Setup was super easy - no tools required. Interesting things happen when you push yourself to do the impossible. Every muscle must learn to work in conjunction with the others (plus the mind). After 15-20 minutes 'walking the line,' I feel strong, focused and remarkably calm. My posture has improved. It was hard at first, and I did fall off a couple of times - but DH thought to install it over soft ground, smart fellow that he is. (He's on it now as well.) Anyway, I love it!

We had seen this Slackline kit at another party and how well people enjoyed it. So my wife and I ordered one for our own family gathering of 30 people. The Slackline kit arrived on time and in great shape. The instructions were simple to follow and we set it up between two large trees in our front yard just below our deck. We had ages from 5 year olds to 55 year olds trying it and most became good at it rather quickly with the aid of the arm helper and top guide line. The key is to look straight ahead and not look down. The others cheered on from the deck - it was truly a hit and will become a staple at our future outdoor events. Well worth what we paid for it. We highly recommend.

WE LOVE THI SLACK! the whole family loves this as a means of exercise and fun. Butdon't be fooled it is HARD at first but with practice you can take one step on the slack, then two, then three, etc. There is a handy "trainer" slack that allows for extra support balancing in the beginning which we thought was critical to have for beginners. This set also comes with two tree protectors which was awesome because we use the slack in the park and wouldn't want to grind into the trees. My only issue is that it is so hard to tighten the slack that only my husband was able to do it and he used all of his might. He is 6'0" and weighs 200 pounds and is pure muscle and he even found it hard. Its a bummer that he the only one that can actually tighten the slack so I cannot use it alone. And, the slack must be tight like a drum for it to not shake when you walk.All in all a great time! Highly recommend for families, friends and strong singles.
