They tried and failed...

This thing did NOT deliver! The ball hitch is incredibly hard to secure to the trailer receiver if there's any weight on the Trailer Valet at all, the way it tightens and secures the dolly to the trailer is almost impossible to get by hand with just the provided wrench. I gave up on my first attempt after the Trailer Valet was moving independently of the trailer, on the second attempt I ended up using a very large set of vise grips to grip the lower part of the post, only then did it get snug and stop moving around. When I finally got it secured to the trailer and tried to crank it up a driveway (not steep at all) the Trailer Valet wheel would not grip the pavement, the wheel was freely spinning. Before I forced it in the drive way the 1/4" step-up between the road and the curb stopped this thing dead in its tracks. This contraption might work if it was on a level, textured surface with no bumps slopes or obstructions in sight.

This did NOT work for my trailer, which was within specs of their product. The collar that goes around the base of the ball bent and the trailer valet was not able to stay vertical. I've left 3 voicemail messages and have yet to receive a return call. Don't buy it.
Works Great

I've used my Travel Valet XL once to precisely position a travel trailer (4600 pound dry weight, dual axles) on a concrete floor inside a large garage. It did the job with ease. I used the included drill bid adapter with my cordless 18V electric drill for part of the job, until the battery power was depleted in short order. Then I used the hand crank for final positioning. The hand crank works great without a great deal of physical effort. The Trailer Valet XL works great for my application and I am pleased with this purchase. On a side note, the cardboard box in which the product was shipped arrived somewhat beat up with a few punctures, however there was no damage to the package contents. I repaired the punctures and otherwise reinforced the shipping box with duct tape because I am using it to store my Trailer Valet XL when not in use.
A big headache

Maybe it was me, but I don't think so. When I watched the video for the valet on you tube it looked like the easy answer to moving my camper. In reality the thing is VERY heavy 50 lbs+. The collar would only tighten so far , leaving a lot of play when the full weight of the camper was placed on it, making it very scary; trying to muscle and balance the weight of the camper on my own.The lock/ release handle was fussy, locking and unlocking at the wrong moment, causing frustration. I supposed I should have used the drill bit feature, as the high and low gear cranks were exhausting and would move only a short distance with a lot of effort. Also the crank handle went spinning when I was cranking the camper up a slight grade, bruising my hand and making me again feel unsafe and out of control with this contraption.
On the the plus side, the customer service lady was sympathetic and offered that the product may have been defective, based on what I had described to her and asked me to take a picture and send it to her, But I was on vacation and fed up and began the return to Amazon already. Maybe this works for others, but not for me.

Great investment. It saved us from selling our camper

So far it's been worth every penny. We live in town with a shared drive that was too narrow to maneuver the truck and 23' camper. The Valet moves the 4800 lb trailer up a 3% grade into position alongside the garage. It is actually easier to manually crank than use the drill adapter and try to handle the drill and turn while breaking with the lever. I'll update if anything breaks. I plan on using this a lot as the trailer comes out several times a month.
