I use these to turn down the volume on loud people while riding the bus and shopping. I also use them for napping. I live in a noisy neighborhood. These give me the volume knob I've always wanted for life in general. I've used other brands I purchased at local stores, but I like these the best of all of them. There are 50 pairs which means they'll last for a good while. The plastic container is very handy too. These are rated for 32 decibels and I think they're more effective than those rated for 29 decibels.

I spent less on 200 pairs of these than I did for the last 50 pairs of earplugs from a retail store, and you know what - they're far more consistent as far as 'softness' goes, so you always get the same experience with each plug - not one that compresses perfectly to fit in your ear, and one that you have to race to get it jammed in before it expands too far. Someday in 4 years when I run out of these, I'll definitely reorder!
