Fits NEWER RAS47 side rail mount
WillFebruary 4, 2018
This mount attached to the NEWER RAS47 side rail plate without a lot of issue. I did have to use a rubber mallet with light taps to make it slide into place as it would not just slide on. It appeared to have too much paint on the back of the mount that made it a bit too thick to just slide on. As I was tapping it into place it did remove some paint on the back side of the mount with no damage to the rifle side plate. I did loosen the quick release lever screw and that made it go on a lot easier. Made a snug fit and is firmly in place. I put a TRS-25 on it and took it out shooting. Stayed in place without issue and held the TRS-25 in place without an issue. It is centered on the rifle and I could not be happier.
Fits well, but read my update before ordering

I think for around 20 bucks this is an adequate mount. It mounted on my Century Arms RAS 47 side rail with no issues. Reading some of the reviews, I guess I have the "old" style side rail. I can't speak to it's fitment on the "new" side rail. I can say that it is centered over the top of the receiver and is holding tight to the aforementioned side rail.
I think for the price this thing is worth a try. I will update after a trip to the range to see how it holds up. I thing it will be alright and for not a whole lot of money.

UPDATE: 2/9/17
Well, as promised here is an update after finally making it to the range and giving this thing a try. Save your money people. Get something that will last, even if it does set you back monetarily.
The mount started moving on the rifle's rail after about 10 rounds. I took it off, turned the little castle nut one notch and was able to get it on the rail tighter. So far so good. About 10 more rounds, and my scope is wobbling on the picatinny rail that is on top of the mount. I'm thinking, my fault, should have put some Loctite on the two screws that are holding these two parts together. I get home to do this quick fix, only to find out that the mount will no longer tighten up on the rifle's rail. Why? Because the little pin that fits into the notch on the castle nut has broken off (probably from recoil), and now the nut spins when the locking lever is turned to snug the mount on the rail. So now it's in the trash can.
In my first review I said that this mount fits on the Century Arms RAS47 without any issues. That was and is true. But the thing didn't survive longer than about 20 rounds or so. It must be some cheap Chinese aluminum or something. I wish that pin was made of steel and threaded into the surrounding alumimum. So save your money and spend it on something of better value.
Fits very snugly and mounts everything I have ...........as planned and expected

VERY VERY tight fit......really don't need the lock at all - ran 100 rounds through the AK and it held rock solid - Yes......... I used brogan maintenance to get it on.......a BFH.........gently tapping it on..........
Not very good

Not great. Very lightweight aluminum. The castle nut that locks the mount to the rail immediately broke upon finger tightening it. I replaced it with a hexnut and lock washer. The quick release doesn't work, it's either too hard to remove or too loose to maintain position. I added a lock washer and tightened the nut with a wrench for a more permanent installation. It does the job like that if you don't mind not getting all the features and having to hit the hardware store looking for the right nuts and washer to get this thing to attach...
Works great, after I fixed it

In case there's any confusion, this goes on a side rail which you have to install yourself, by drilling through your receiver.
This doesn't come with the side rail, but from what I understand they are fairly well standardized.

As for this: it works okay, haven't had it come loose yet and it's really tight.
However, the little quick-release lever fell off immediately after I installed it. It was easy too super glue back on though, and it seems to work fine now.

Can't complain much, it's exactly what I expected it to be, and it works.
