Truly spill proof

This is the only after-market lid I'd ever had that was truly spill PROOF (not resistant). I dropped my Ozark trail mug the other day. Didn't spill a drop because this lid was on. I'm very happy with it and trust it enough to put it in my purse and not worry about it leaking.
(I only use my Ozark trail for water, as I do not drink coffee. So I can't attest to others saying that hot liquids push the lid up.)
Edit: Changing my review to four stars. The black bit covering the opening broke. I'm able to put it back but it gets annoying to have to keep putting it on just for it to snap off a few days later. I'm going to look for a sliding version that someone else mentioned in the reviews. Will still stick with this company's products because you can't beat a truly spill proof lid!

Quality made lid and gasket and spill proof sealing lever handle on top. If you RTIC cups, these are made for the old style, not the new style/slightly different dimension cups that came out a little over a year ago. You can tell the difference between old and new as the new style has black metal at the bottom of the cup. Another hint I learned somewhere on here, thank you, is to leave the flip top open when placing and removing the top so that a vacuum is not created. That little top will save you grunting and groaning getting the lid on and off. I also have a couple of Yeti cups and these fit that as well. My experience is with the 30oz size. I like these lids, they work, don't leak, seem very well made, and the price is reasonable.

We had it for one month and one of the prongs that holds on the liftable drinking opening broke .... so it will no longer close correctly... The lids fit very tight and you have to put some pressure on the lid to get on and off... I was pleased other than one of the prongs broke... I used it daily before it broke...

Update: The company contacted me after my complaint below and offered to replace the broken lid. Very courteous customer service and I love my new lids! I decided to try their other spill proof lid that slides back instead of the locking closure like this one has. So far so good!
I really liked this lid, it was definitely spill proof. But unfortunately the black cap became detached from the clear lid after only 3 months of use and now it constantly pops off. I can pop it back in and when closed it is still spill proof but every time I open the spout it becomes detached again. Very annoying.

It works. It keeps liquid in a Yeti, RTIC, etc. It hasn't leaked. BUT...
I have the same reservations many do. When the tab flips up when you drink out of it, your nose hits it. That's both distracting and inefficient. I also find the hole in it too small for much liquid to come out. With cold drinks (lots of ice), there just isn't enough room for your ddrink to come out. I measured against the Yeti and RTIC and the hole in this is slightly over half the size of the name brands.
I bought them; I'll use them (maybe). But, I'm still looking for a better solution.
UPDATE: They listened!! The newest lid is way better. The flip tab goes back further and does not hit your nose while drinking. The hole is slightly larger and liquid comes out perfectly. Their customer service is the best I've ever experienced. I love the new lid and I've shown it to all my golf buddies.
