looks good right out of the box and after assembly. i have not tested it outdoors but will report back if it malfunctions. it was super easy to put together and with the proper adjustments, you can get a lot of comfort in using for long periods. for the price, it is well constructed and looks tough. the headphones are another story as it feels and looks cheap, but super comfortable and lightweight. you can always buy a compatible or universal headphone that better suits your needs. i have included a short video on a few things scanned.

Nice little device, works very well for me. It's not supposed to be used near salt water, but I had it on the beach in NH and was finding things (mostly pieces of lobster traps) fairly well, even in damp sand. It went a little nuts near the salt water. Haven't found anything great yet, but it keeps me busy at the beach.
