I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this solid state drive (SSD). My PC is about 3 years old, so it does not use the full performance of this SSD because of the motherboard specs. I installed Windows 10 fresh to this drive, and my programs to a secondary hard drive. This SSD is mainly used for the operating system, as to maintain performance. After my Windows 10 fresh install, my boot time went from a minute plus, to about 8 seconds. Since I decided to use a secondary hard disk to install programs to, performance is maintained on the SSD drive. Less fragmentation and clutter. The SSD drive ran from the very start with no issues what so ever. Windows updates now complete much faster due to the SSD technology and speed. If you are a casual user to a moderate gamer, this drive will fit your needs. If you are a power user or content creator, the PRO version from Samsung is for you, provided you have the hardware to support it to the fullest.

Nice upgrade from Samsung 850 EVO. Overall faster and seems to run just fine using Default Windows 10 Creators Update Drivers. Had tried using Samsung Drivers but had Several BSOD in just a few hours had to rollback to default drivers. been running for almost 2 weeks now no issues other than the samsung drivers not working properly.

This SSHD on a stick is unbelievably fast. Perfect for a C drive if you want to have your OS running in a few seconds from dead cold start. It's truly is a total screamer as far as data transfer. (Make sure your mother board can accept or has an M.2 connector on board before you buy this.) If you don't like to sit and wait for your OS to boot, THIS is a great drive. :)

Just wish it was bigger! Could only afford the 250G, When I switched from HDD to SSD drives, it blew my mind, after benching this, it was amazing that I could get that much faster with bench marks. I have laptops that have the old 5400 HDD and as soon as I can, I will be switching to SSD drives, I can't use other machines because I'm use to my 6sec boot times and awesome "snappy" usage of windows and other software.

Many people say that you do not see a difference between am M.2 drive versus the solid state drives I can tell you that I can definitely see the difference by about 2 seconds it doesn't seem like much but these are extremely fast especially because they share the PCI bus and of course plug directly into your m.2 slot on the motherboard all in all they are worth every dollar you spend on them. And as a gamer you should definitely invest and have one of these in your motherboard
