I purchased two (2) of these, set them up ...

I purchased two (2) of these, set them up on my machine, dialed them in only to find the height from the bottom to the top of the base (where a part will set) to be .014 different. I can compensate for that but shouldn't have to. They look the part but for what I paid, I would have thought they would have been closer. In a single use application I guess they are ok.

Ordered 2 of these about a month apart. The first blue one seems to be a better vise when ran through a indicator and has about 1" more opening . My quick vise handle does not fit the hex on the red one either. 2nd vise was .028 taller than the first, had to shim one.

decent vise, not a fan of the hand finished front and back. The handle feels pretty cheap also, but for what it is and the price I'd say it's an excellent buy.
