Worked as expected for a direct replacement. Cheap fix with some soldering know-how and saved myself a couple hundred bucks on a replacement PCB
Test them first, not all are equal.

These work for the price but if you're looking for exactly 5.00 volts of return, test them first. Many of them were putting out 5.05-5.15 volts and some were 4.9-4.98 volts. I only found 3 to regulate output to exactly 5.00 volts.

Very reliable and robust regulators. Great for my Arduino projects that require higher voltages and current needs for the external components and add-on boards.

I have successfully used these on several projects. They work well. The voltage is controlled between 4.9 and 5.1 vdc easily. I have accidentally shorted these out without realizing that the short was occurring and they withstood the abuse. They get pretty warm (as in hot) so use a means to cool them if you are running them near capacity. My load is just enough that I went to two - they are so inexpensive and running at half capacity assures longer life.
