It's just ok. Upon washing the robe, it shrank a lot all over (which was fine as I'm really short) and became noticeably rougher even though I used a vinegar rinse. However, it does the job of drying a body off efficiently and keeps you relatively warm. It's not what I would call cozy or snuggly but, I think that costs about double what you pay for this. Sadly, I'm comparing it to the Frette robes Costco used to sell about 15 years ago for the same price; those were luxurious, cozy and oh so snuggly. Oh well. As long as you know what to expect, you won't be disappointed.
*Update: a good amount of lint is generated when machine drying so, to keep robe as fluffy as possible for as long as possible, air dry whenever you can. A good rule for any terrycloth or flannel too!
