This stuff is awesome, so much fun to play with! I love the included container and the blow up sandbox, nice touch!

What I did, as it is low humidity here in the winter, when it was received, so it was kind of dry and hard is this:

Instead of the recommended "spray water above the sand", (but you are not supposed to get it in the sand, so I thought that would be a recipe for disaster with the kids), I took a humidifier and ran a plastic siphon type tube out of the top of the humidifier and hung the tube over the top of the sandbox they include. This worked great to soften the sand, and the kids had a blast messing with the steam coming out of the tube as well!

I also wrapped the included plastic bag around the part of the tube that went into the humidifier hole, so the steam wouldn't escape around it, and would come out the other end of the tube, worked great!

My grandson loves this sand. In the reviews there are a lot of complaints about it being dry and it is a little dry when you first get it but all we did was spray a little water as it suggested in the air above it and it did the trick. When I looked at the reviews for the original Kinetic sand I saw some of the same complaints as for this it is half the price so I figured if the complaints are about the same for both products why not go with the one that costs less. I have not been disappointed. I also bought the sparkle green. The only thing with that is you have glitter all over the place. I have attached a couple of pictures so you can see for yourself. If you are not happy they are more than willing to refund your money but I don't think you will be disappointed. We weren't.

Ok, seriously, we love this sand so much!!! I have always been a fan of kinetic sand, but it would dry out if we accidentally left it out overnight (which happens a lot with two boy toddlers!). This sand is just as much fun as kinetic sand, and it doesn't dry out!!! We've left it out two days in a row on accident and it still feels great and springs back to life after playing with it for a bit! The texture is so fun and does what it's supposed to do for a much better price than the leading brand.
Furthermore, the customer service was excellent! My storage bucket came cracked, so I sent them an email with pictures. They responded within a few days and sent me a replacement bucket right away. I was so impressed! We will be repeat customers for sure and I've told all my mom friends about it!

Bought this for my 2 1/2 year old son. He adores it. I also purchased some sand molds but those were mainly pointless. The sand is too "hard" to really press clear shapes into so you have to pack the sand into the mold and then dump it out. He's too young to really be into that and the sand doesn't hold together enough to be able to handle anything you make with a mold. He mainly likes driving his trucks around in it and making "roads." I really love the feel of it as well. It's fun and cathartic to play with. It does actually stick to something... silicone. We have several silicone teething toys for our younger son (8 months) as well as silicone cooking utensils and several times the older as taken the younger's toy into the sand and it sticks like crazy. You have to wash it to get it off. Otherwise, it doesn't stick to things and is easy to clean up. Doesn't dry out like playdoh and my son has spent hours and hours playing with it for weeks now. The color doesn't transfer or stain either. Definitely worth the money if you have an active kid cooped up inside!

I had never played with any kind of sand like this before but I had purchased a box of 2 lbs for each of my kids for Christmas. Before Christmas someone had given my daughter the name brand kinetic sand in a very small kit as an early present, and all I could think was, oh dear God - what did I do? I could see the appeal but it was really messy and the few molds that came with the kit, the kinetic sand would get stuck in it and wasn't as workable as it looked on TV. After Christmas my kids ripped into their CoolSand, and I'm so relieved. It's what the kinetic sand should have been. Don't get me wrong, it's still messy. But my kids are messy, to be expected. But the clean up on the stuff is a lot easier, you can actually take a bit of sand to pick up other small bits of sand. It still has that fluid sort of feeling like kinetic sand, but it doesn't get stuck in the molds like the other one. And I had to play with it too to test it, I think it just feels more cool and more moldable, definitely more fun to play with. So pleased with it I just ordered another 2 pounds each kid- which was a tough call to make because I'm pretty poor right now and the stuff is pretty expensive, but the kids love it. Will keep them busy for hours, not to mention the sensory aspect since my daughter is also autistic, and I have to admit I kind of like to play with it too. I also purchased the molds for the sand in the same brand and it just really is the icing on the cake. I absolutely will not even bother trying another brand of play sand after my experience- I'm pretty certain this stuff is probably the best.
