Happy Quilter
Colleen Towne•August 21, 2018
When I saw these clips at $8.99 for 100 and the Beatrix Potter Tin, I couldn't resist. I previously purchased the exact same clip at $5.49 for only 10, from one of my favorite sewing sources. I would gladly have given an overall rating of 5 stars but the tin was dented and scratched. I use these clips for far more than just quilting, closing bags of chips, containing coupons, weighting ribbons for machine applique, I even caught my husband picking up a few. Thanks Amazon
Handy small clips

These are pretty much identical to the Clover ones that you get at the craft store at 50 for about $15 (but for which you have a coupon for 40% one item, right? :-D ). These are the general-purpose ones with the tip that's about 3/8" wide, as opposed to the mini-clips useful for basketry with the 1/8" tips, (https://www.amazon.com/Promisen-Colorful-Quilting-Plastic-Binding/dp/B075MCL4JC/ref=cm_wl_huc_item). The tin was the rabbit one shown in the photo, with a vignette labeled "Eastertide" on the ends (so: very seasonal, for better or worse). The tin came in a bubble envelope, and was very slightly dented in transit.
I love the clips and would like to have given this ...

I love the clips and would like to have given this a 5 star...but the box was dented on one side and it did not have the rabbits as pictured. It had "Thank You" on the lid instead. I had purchased this as a gift, but not a thank you gift, so will have to re-purpose it somehow. I think is worth the price paid for just the clips, so did not return it.
Great, but the bin was damaged

The clips are great. Just what I wanted.
ONE problem though: the box that comes with it.
Mine was damaged upon arrival because the packaging isn't suited for this tin bin. The bin is easy to bend so if there's heavy weight on it, it will cave in. There was one slim sheet of bubble wrap in the package. This product should've been wrapped in more bubble wrap or something.
Other than that, I love the clips and the design of the bin. Wish it didn't have a dent in it though.

Perfect for numerous projects

My husband and I both use these clips for so many projects! I love the tin and never have to wonder where the clips are. We use them for keeping earphone wires together, clipping wires to larger clips, holding yarn on knitting or crochet needles, holding binding to quilt edges . . . . just to name a few of our uses. The bright colors allow me to pick out the edges of my knitting or sewing. Definitely would recommend to others.
