THIS HAS GLUTEN. I was personally assured by the owner of the company that this product has no gluten... but it does evidenced by my severe allergic response. Owner obviously doesn't understand what gluten free means and how important it is to those of us that are completely allergic to it. Must be gluten in the Glue used by the copacker as is common in tea bags. BEWARE!

Nothing special to me with the taste. Be careful about the dirt/powder. I put it into a glass jar and shake it around before each use to let the dirt/powder fall to the bottom. The dirt/powder makes my stomach sick, so I have to be very careful to try and not get any in my mug after filtering it. I continue taking it only for the health benefits that come from drinking it.

It is a really well balanced tea and has a very soothing flavor to it. I am not sure of the 'activator' potential, but I love the taste, and the fact I can use the same leaves several times. It blends very well with white tea as well. It is very fresh by feel and smell right out of the airtight, sealed pouch it come in. I will re-order this product, and highly recommend you give it a try if you like teas.

I didn't expect this tea to replace my coffee in the morning. Since starting the jiaogulan tea in the morning (2 cups), I don't even think about coffee. As far as health benefits, it's only been a month, so time will tell. Like the taste, no need to add anything to it!
