its all brass. so no rust issues involved perfect for blowing out sprinkler lines and i also use it to blow out my garden hose reel. I have a winter bib so the line doesnt freeze. I use a two way gate and close the main valve, then i can blow out the water in the hose if i have to use it during the winter for any reason.
