BUYER BEWARE!!!!

After using these 4 times now and thoroughly cleaning them more times than I can count, I now know that this product is cheaply made and SHOULD NOT be sold. Whatever they are claiming to be stainless steel is NOT. Each time I have used this, this product has left a film in my cup and a metallic taste to the tea. At first, I thought it was just me or maybe a dirty cup, but after the third and fourth time, I know it IS this product. I also have used my other steepers and have NEVER encountered this problem. One of them also came with a chip of the metal coating removed. As you can see in the picture, it's made of some type of blue plastic. I also included a photo of the film at the top of the tea and the silverish film it leaves in the cup once the tea is finished.

Shipped in a timely manner and works as expected. The loose leaf tea we buy works well with these infusers and are easy to clean afterwards (I recommend dumping the tea leafs out while still moist - easier to clean out of the mesh). The lid also fits securely and is easy to open and close but won't leak any tea leaves out. The infusers holds a good amount of tea leaves as well.
This will not leak out leaves unless you're using a straight powder like substance or the very end of the tea that has tiny powdered crumbs. Otherwise it has help up well overtime!

What incompetent people designed these? How could these every get the ok to produce? They are impossible to open! Just add a simple tab to the die.

We'll made and STURDY! I don't do tea, these are used for spices in Dutch ovens, crock pots and pressure cookers (Rosemary, thyme, and other spices I don't want to gag on)...does the job well!

These are great tea infusers for home or work. The lid twists off easily and you can screw it back on just intuitively. The material seems great. I have had this only for a couple of weeks so I can't speak to long term performance but no signs of staining although I have left it in my tea mug overnight a few times already. The tea leaves comes off pretty easy and the hole sizes are just optimum to where the leaves don't get stuck in the holes so it's pretty easy to clean. I've had other types of infusers but this one is by far my favorite so far.
