The kit comes with everything you need for small repairs, I did a repair on my car's leather seat, I am happy with the result!

If you are DIY inclined person (I assume most people who are considering this product would be DIY inclined already), then you will love this kit.

For my cracking bolsters, I've sanded it down a bit to get rid of all the sharp edges, then applied the adhesive to fill the cracks. I've done about 3 layers of the adhesive and it filled the cracks quite nicely.

Then I've sanded it slightly before applying the colour.

It takes a bit of trial and error to get the correct colour mix - it comes with a good guide line to get you started, and the seller (the business owner of the product) is very helpful and gives good advice and support. Mixing the colour seemed to discourage many people here but it was probably the most enjoyable part of the process for me - it is rather rewarding when you make the colour to your satisfaction!

I was able to get the colour I wanted after about 30min of adding colours - beware that the dried colour is slightly different than the wet colour, so make sure you let it dry in hidden area or a small area first. I had to make a new colour for my second coat because my original colour that I thought was pretty good has actually turned out a bit too dark after drying. The kit comes with a small mixing pot with a cap which helps to keep the paint ready for the next coat. Each thin coat took about 10 minutes to fully dry. Make sure to lay it thin and let it dry, do several thin coats to avoid it becoming sticky and taking long time to dry.

The upper area where I had some scuffs were super easy to fix "“ just cleaned the seat with alcohol to get rid of dirt and grease, applied the paint that was ready and job done. It literally took one minute because I already had the paint ready.

Does the job but I have a suggestion to make. While using on a small burn mark not a hole but an indent to fill in. After using and it dries I used rubbing alcohole to even out and dull the shine a bit. It took me several attempts due to the material has a texture a grain pattern little bumps like. The repair was flat no texture and stood out big time. I a small 16 gage wire stripped one end and would dab the copper wire in the product and lightly dab on mixture making high and low spots in repair area for texture. They added some small naugahyde pieces of material with different texture patterns or buy some patches maybe and apply material let it get tackey then place material grain side facing repair area lightly press down and leave alone about an hour peel off and it will leave the pattern on repaired area let dry 5 more hours buff with clean cloth and rubbng alcohol until flush with existing area around repair I did this before with a different kit and just repaired my mercedes black passenger seat not the back rest area the seat and dead center it happened 1 week before turning in my 3 year lease the only damage, but never seen a solid repair and no big seat repair cost. Trick take your time and get naugahyde to create a pattern.

This product works perfect. The damage in my seat was not so big, it was a scratch made with some tool in the back pocket of a mechanic.
1-First read the instructions and follow them.
2- Clean the surface. sand it with the provided paper to remove the edgy material.
3- Put some glue where need it, repeat the process till level it, giving some time to dry (very important to wait to dry completely) sand again if needed..
4- The final "secret" is to match the colour of the fabric, in my case is something like "cream" in my Mazda 6 perforated leather, I used, mostly white, and a little of yellow, black and brown.
5- Let it dry for at least one hour.
Be gentle adding the tints.

My experience with the Strongman Leather Repair Kit

- The kit was comprehensive in the included supplies. I needed nothing extra besides basic household materials (towels, scissors, etc.).
- The instructions were clear, and the video links were helpful to see the process from end to end.
- Plenty of substrate included so that you can experiment, and fix several defects if needed
- Painting mixing was/is intimidating. No matter how many videos and online tools I used, ultimately the best method was trial and error with the mixing and testing on a scrap piece of my leather. I was able to make a beige color with white, yellow and a bit of black and green.
- The little wooden tool was really useful for multiple steps. It was very effective at pushing the substrate into the tear area, and for mixing the paints.

I had some challenges with the paint bottles, and a couple of the tops popped off when I was squeezing it, spilling the paint. Note that the tips are sealed, so you need to clip a small hole if you want small amounts of paint to mix.

Overall I'm very satisfied with the outcome of the project and how the kit helped. The tears I had were at an odd seam in the seat, so I had different tensions on each side which took a lot more patience during the glue/adhesive cycle. But I'm confident that the repair will ensure that the tears don't continue to grow, and that cosmetically they are barely visible to my passenger.

We had a 4" tear on the top of a sofa. There was plenty of product to make the repair, and with lots of colors included, potential for matching almost any color of fabric with mixing. Because of the 2-tone look of my fabric, I did have a very difficult time matching the colors and replicating the pattern of the existing fabric. And I never could get the texture to work because the edges dried quicker than the center (I was using a hair dryer to quicken the process, so probably user error. I have used similar products in the past that require a heated "tool" to imprint the texture, and for me, that worked better. Instructions were very clear and easy to follow, so any issues I had were essentially user error because I was in a hurry. I may attempt to start over in the future when I have more time and can wait for the product to dry naturally. I WILL recommend this product to others and will use it again in the future.
