Brittle (?) blades

I'm a novice, so if I had to bet whether the blades or I were faulty, I'd bet on me! You get to decide:
My project was to cut off the support structure of an in-ground pool diving board- a set of 3" diameter hollow stainless steel tubes/pipes embedded in concrete. So, the cutting surface was circular, which meant only a small part of the blade surface was engaged in cutting, and once the initial plunge cut surface of the pipe was completed, the effective thickness of stainless steel being cut was just the 1/8" thickness of the pipe. The blades then began snagging on the inner and outer edges of the stainless steel, leading to segments of all three blade teeth snapping off.
So, three blades were toast by completion of four pipe cuts.
Since I have youtube and limitless time, I'm guessing my task would have gone better with a different tool- probably an angle grinder with a metal-cutting blade. After all, this is what the professional thieves use to effortlessly cut off the catalytic converters from your car's tailpipe in roughly 15 seconds. But I digress...

Used this on a remodel. 1 blade lasted the entirety of the remodel. This included removing 1300 sqft of carpet, and using it to remove the staples and tack strips. This also handling removing all the brad nails from all the trim, old doors, kitchen remodel, and deck rebuild. Best blade ever, and I'll never buy another brand of blades.
