Fabulous but flawed..

These caps for the posts on our deck stairway are beautiful & bright. We are impressed with them overall...however, two of the six we ordered arrived with a flaw on the side of the copper top. A part of one side of each of the two is bent out, about 3/4inch. We placed these two on a part of the deck that doesn't face in. Not sure how they got by inspection before leaving the factory..so, can't give them 5 stars. Hopefully, they will last a long time.

Works well. Chose this design for 2 reasons: 1. pointed roof keeps birds from sitting and decorating the light as was the case with previous lights. 2. the solar cells on four sides may be more efficient in my placement because of tree shade at different times of day. I do wish that there was a bit more light shining down from the lamp onto the post (I have it on my mailbox post; it makes it easier for people to find us in the darker days of winter.

This purchase was to replace a similar light that was about 5 years old. The sun had taken a toll on the old one; particularly the little solar panels. It's worthy to note that this is an accent light and does not provide any meaningful lighting at the ground. Looks good and works as advertised. Very easy to install. I assume this one will last 4 to 5 years and will need replacing again at that time.
