Super dark purple and smells good
hayleigh•January 27, 2018
Leaves a strange film on my hair you have to rinse it very well but my hair is super beige on the bottom and keeps the brass out because it is super dark and every greygoer know a the darker the better
Still brassy

I have tried many different "purple" shampoos for my blonde hair. I HATE brassy colors. I went to my stylist to have all over color done and it turned a brassy color even after she used a toner. We're not sure what happened this time.
Usually I buy Clairol's purple shampoo. It works great but has a funky old man smell. It also leaves a hint of purple which I actually like. I decided to try this Joico purple shampoo and conditioner because I am a huge fan of Joico's K Pak shampoo and conditioner. The smell is great. It washes my hair clean. It doesn't dry it out.
My complaint is that it definitely doesn't pull out the brassy colors in my hair like Clairol does. It is still brassy and I've used it many times already. Overall, it's okay. I'm not impressed for the fact of lightening my hair, but I'm happy with how the shampoo and conditioner work in the sense of cleaning and smell.
Will I buy it again for making my hair more blonde? No. I suggest Clairol.
But for dehydrated hair, I would recommend Joico's brand K Pak.

I like that it actually lightened and toned down my hair ...

I like that it actually lightened and toned down my hair color. The conditioner doesn't really work well for my hair, it does not really condition. Maybe if i leave it longer??? Anyway, the bottle itself is very sturdy and heavy, so i suggest buying the pump along with it for easy dispensing.
No brassy/yellow tones at all!

I recently dyed my hair ash blonde, almost silver and these shampoo+conditioner is perfect! Seriously. I will continue to buy this as long as my hair is this color. I have not gotten any brassy/yellow tones at all since using this shampoo and conditioner. Definitely would recommend this to all blondes.
Good Product

Large amount for the price! Leaves my hair silky and smooth and certainly brings out the blonde.
No packaging issues either.
