Great Case for the Money

As the other reviewers state the case is too complex for TSA to ever put it back correctly, but they always put it back good enough to get by. It's a solid case, the casters don't turn as well as they should but for the price point it's perfect.
It takes a bit of maneuvering, but it fit in the end! Very happy with the purchase.

I purchased the B&W International Bike Case in anticipation of moving from the UK to Japan. Admittedly, I'm a bit obsessed with my Brompton and wanted a case I could take on the plane that would survive the journey. I still have the original Brompton box and was open to using that to pack it up again, but the B&W seemed a good option. When it arrived, I struggled to get the bike to fit. I have a C Line with a back rack , Brompfiction titanium post, and a Brooks saddle. For the life of me, I just couldn't get it to fit. So, after numerous tries, I took it in to my local bike shop and asked if others had problems getting it to fit. We took the saddle off and it fit like a glove. It made it from London to Tokyo with no problem and I'm very happy with the product. You may need to pay more for oversized luggage, but it arrived in one piece and am happy with the resulting purchase.

I think this is a great product, however there needs to be a some slight cosmetic changes to make it very clear how the two shells go together. I used some paint/nail polish to make this more clear. This is an issue when TSA staff are unable to re-assemble the two shells correctly. I added a descriptive sheet (attached to the case) to help the TSA team.

Flew on Southwest and bike was inspected at each terminal by TSA after I handed it over. Expect them to open your to check that you let the air out of your tires. Used a silver sharpie to write "top" and "in" with an arrow to show how the clamshell design rolls around the edge of the case.

First trip with the B&W with my bike. Was below 50lbs with the bike and we loaded it to 65lbs with extra stuff and managed to fly internationaly with the case with little problems. Would be nice to have 4 wheels but still worked great with two.
