Heavy duty and built to last.

We are using this in a bar and restaurant through a busy summer and it works well. It is short so you won't be able fit a glass or normal sized tin under it. We have to use a second smaller class specifically for lime/lemon juice. Happy with its use though.
squeeze on

a simple way to squeeze juice from larger citrus and related, such as pomegranates...its not quite tough enough to get all of the juice and leaves a good deal behind...but, its about as easy to use as it gets, and very easy to maintain.
Very good press

I have used the press several times now and have been impressed each time. Nothing beats a fresh glass of OJ. One of my favorite things about this is the clean up. I had juicers in the past amd the cleanup was painful. This is a simple design and requires very little time to clean up.
Pro: very easy to use, great yield, super easy cleanup.
Con: a bit tippy, requires hand placed on back of press.

this will last your grand children until they are too old to use it !!

Just squeezed 52 Pomegranets from our 3 bushes.
yield with this unit was 1 gallon + 1 pint.
the biggest fruit require a bit of muscle power, the smaller ones are pretty "eazy squeezy".
the first 1/2 gallon is the learning curve, then irts just repetition.
so, whats there to learn??
finding a container to catch the juice without staining everything is a good start
how much pressure to use is second
too much pressure, you get too much pulp sediment; but it settles out overnight to crystal clear red juice.
its easy to use too much pressure to start; but not necessary.
total time to squeeze over a gallon of pomegranet juice ?? 2 hours if your in no hurry, like me.
that includes cleanup time too.
PROS:
great well made machine, should last your lifetime
CONS:
1. finding the right size juice container to catch the juice between the mount legs
2. if i was going to use this everyday, it needs to be bolted to your counter - its top heavy being made of steel, so it rocks a bit
Bottom Line:
electric juicers with plastic gears dont last - been there, wont do it again
this will last your grand children until they are too old to use it !!
is there better ... i havent seen it
its your money, buy plastic & send it to the landfill OR buy one of these & someday it just might be in a museum long after your gone, marked "from the collection of [your name goes here]".

Meh - works but...

This juicer is reasonably robust but it is not commercial grade. For my purposes it should hold up but I am a bit disappointed. Here are a few things that are not ideal about it:
1. As stated by another reviewer, the unit is hard to hold when pressing, the stand does not keep it from tipping. It needs a second handle or longer base feet.
2. The press arm goes all the way to the stop (with limes anyway) and does not get a 100% press (perhaps only 98%)
3. It comes with Allen wrenches so I disassembled the top part of the press to clean it before using. The big screws holding the top of the press to the arms cannot be tightened, they just spin forever so I worry it will fall apart after a while. I did not apply any force at all.
4. The stainless base funnel and strainer are a bit thin to be called commercial; they work for home use but I expect they will eventually deform and render the unit non-functional.
5. The unit has a Chinese factory oil smell (I have lived and worked in China and this is too familiar).
6. The rubber feet leave marks on my counter. I will be looking for replacement feet. The other rubber items (handle and stop bumper feel oily), it is not the type of rubber material you would expect on food prep item.
The unit is heavy and otherwise functional. Aside from the never tightening screws I expect a good service life for home use. The orange color of my unit is nice. I would pick a different press is doing it over again.
---- Update -----
I have now run about 1500 limes through this press. It needs frequent bolt tightening and the the main shaft guide is wearing out. it may be okay for light duty home use but I am even more disappointed than after my initial review. i will need to replace it soon with a different brand.
