Finished in 10 mins with this tool. If you have a German made vehicle then you need this tool especially for a new beetle!!
Works much better than VW plastic tool

Worked for me on AAA VR6 engine. Although the tool sleeve tends to spread open a little and bind when pulling on the stuck boot, with some finesse you can make it work no problem. Beats plastic oem VW puller that's for sure.
Perfect for 2005 2.0 New Beetle

This was just what I needed to remove the boots off our 2005 New Beetle without having to remove the intake manifold. It's a tight fit for cylinder #2 so take your time - it will slide over the boot at just the right angle. I got this hoping not to replace the wires but alas on the last and easiest to get to - the cylinder #1 wire - the plug cap inside the boot was all seized up onto the spark plug. The boot wouldn't come out so I rotated the boot just a little and that did it - I got the boot out...minus the cap which sheared off and was left on the plug. Oh well, not the tool's fault. I couldn't have gotten the #2 off without it. But whoever installed the #1 boot did a bad job greasing the boot. So tip - IF AT ALL POSSIBLE PULL BACK AND TRY NOT TO TURN THE BOOT WHEN REMOVING IT IN CASE IT IS SEIZED UP ON THE PLUG!
Easy to use.

This worked exactly as it was advertised. Made pulling the plug wire easy, without risk of damage to the wire.
It makes a highly annoying job very easy and there is no need to remove additional parts.

A must have tool for spark plug replacement on a VW Jetta 2002 (and similar models). It makes the process of removing/reseating the wire boots positively easy and very quick. Plus there is no need to remove any other engine parts.
I have managed to service, with some difficulty, the spark plugs on cylinders #1 and #4 using a long nose pliers, however #3 and especially #2 were a completely different story.
With this tool, I was able to finish the job in 5 minutes flat and there was no damage to the wires/boots.
Obviously, spending money on a highly specialized tool that sees limited use may seem a bit of a waste, however the convenience factor is so great that I feel it was very much worth it to me. If I had to do the whole thing again, I would start by buying this tool and never look back.
