Bike while playing video games and watching Netflix!
Nick✓ Verified Purchase•January 15, 2018
I love this exercise bike! I'm in my 20's and I use it all the time while i am playing video games or watching videos online. I play using a controller and have my TV set up in front and to the side of the bike. To use the computer I have my keyboard and mouse sitting on a low chair next to the bike where I can easy reach the space bar and mouse or selecting or pausing videos.
The best part is that the seat adjusts on a slider so you are never forced to "chose a numbered notch" like most machines at the gym. This means that if I am biking and watching movies and my legs get a little sore I can slide the seat back a little to take presser off my knees and keep going!
10/10 I bike 20 miles a day, its snowing outside and i've caught up on my movies and videogames!

this is a good exercise bike

Overall, this is a good exercise bike. Things I like:
-The electronics are powered by an AC adapter, as opposed to the common batteries. This is very convenient, but does require you to be near an outlet.
-The electronics supports multiple users.
-There is a 3.5mm jack for audio. There is also a USB jack for data transfer, if you wish to upload your ride data. However, you can use a USB powered Bluetooth Receiver to use this jack, and make your bike a bluetooth audio receiver.
-It has a wide range of resistance ranges
-The electronic display is VERY bright. It would be nice if it were sensitive to the ambient light, but you will not have trouble seeing it.
Things that I wish were slightly different:
-The seat's attitude is level. It would be better if it slightly tilted down. As is, it is not entirely comfortable if you sit all the way back in the seat.
-The "throw" of the peddles (distance from the top most to the bottom most) is longer than I am accustomed for such bikes, which requires either a bit more flexibility, or you must sit further back.
-The width between the middle of the peddles (left peddle to right peddle) is wider than most bikes, which may feel a bit odd initially.
-The contact pulse pickups seem to work poorly. I use a fitbit charge hr to supplement this need. This is a little disappointing because a couple of the programs on this unit are related to heart rate.
Overall, I've put a good many hours on this bike, and it works well for me.

VERY COMFORTABLE TO RIDE!!!
loddyo✓ Verified Purchase•January 12, 2018
As advertised, the bike is very comfortable, nice padded seat, silent operation, very smooth peddling. The display Is easy to read. I like the option create custom programs but comes with enough programs to keep from getting bored. Good heart monitoring, but a chest strap or wrist monitor works better and more accurately with onboard Bluetooth ready display. If you have chronic lower back pain as I do that prevents me from running, walking moderate to long distances and riding a conventional bike. This is the answer to loosing weight and getting a good cardio workout and leg strengthing. I just turned 65 and after starting out at 30 min low to moderate resistance, burning 170 calories, 6 times a week i lost 3 pounds. 2nd week i programmed a custom workout with moderate resistance and the session to burn 200 calories. The ride was interval type training, 2-3 min moderate to high resistance then 2 min low resistance. The computer automatically led me to ride 41 min of interval training in order to burn 200 calories. My guess is if I choose to burn 300 calories it would have had me ride another 20 min. So anyway I lost 4 and 1/2 pounds the second week using the custom interval program. 41 min ride / 200 cal per ride. After 2 weeks on this bike I lost 7 pounds and I have noticed that I can walk my dog longer and farther and I'm not out of breath when I walk up the stairs in my home. Next week I'm goin to program to burn 250 cal per ride. That will increase the time to 50 min. The best thing I have to say is how comfortable it is to ride and the weather is no excuse anymore. Also the app that connects to your phone keeps track of all your workouts so you can see your progress. Ok let me just say one thing..... I hate to exercise but not anymore, because I'm seeing results and dare I say it is almost fun to ride this bike. Comfort is everything. If it hurts to ride you just won't do it . This has solved my problem. One more thing ...you can't eat junk. Add fruit and veggies for snacks. Very important also is to cut down portions of main meals and allways eat breakfast ....with fruit.
Good luck and stay focused.

UPDATE: Bike received in perfect condition, no missing parts.

Bike received in perfect condition, no missing parts. Initial impression is positive. Nice features. Follow up report coming after some use.
Bike arrived and carton has clear packing tape on the top and bottom edges to seal it. Ends are stapled. I opened the top and some of the foam and parts are help together with strips of packing tape. I'm suspicious that this is a used bike or one that has been returned for some reason. Is it normal that packing as described is done with clear packing tape? Or is it evidence that the carton has been opened? I have an assembly appt on Jan 17th and am concerned parts may be missing or the bike is used or defective. Anyone have this experience?

Great exercise investment for seniors!

I truly love this bike. I am 82 years old with degenerative arthritis in my spine and two knee replacements and found that almost any type of activity caused me pain leading to a very sedentary life style. I purchased this bike after checking out some similar ones including the older Schwinn 270 model at a sporting goods store. (The older model has a hard plastic seat not as comfortable as the padded seat on the 2017 model.) I found that for the price point, the Schwinn was sturdier and had much more capability than similar models in its class. It is exceedingly comfortable, easily adjustable for my needs, absolutely silent and about as good as it can get for providing exercise for a senior. I have been using it for at least one half hour to an hour almost every day with no discomfort or residual pain. I have managed to increase the resistance slightly from when I first started, have lost some weight and feel emotionally and physically better.
I indulged myself in an app called BitGym that can be purchased for any tablet, in my case an iPad Pro. It is outstanding for any type of indoor exercise equipment like a bike, elliptical trainer or treadmill since it provides gorgeous hikes throughout the world sometimes coached, sometimes not. One can immerse oneself in the beautiful scenery and actually feel like you are hiking or biking the Andes, our Southwest, New Zealand, etc. It makes the time on the bike fly by and is great fun. I actually look forward to my exercise time.
One final recommendation especially for seniors, I indulged myself in purchasing the Exercise Bike Assembly. It was well worth it. The bike is quite heavy and would have been difficult for my husband and I to have it handled ourselves and probably almost impossible for us to have grappled with all of the parts while trying to kneel on the floor to put it together. The individual who did it was very professional, set up the appointment ahead of time and arrived on time (the day after the bike was delivered). It took him almost an hour to set it up even though he was familiar with it and had the appropriate power tools.
To sum it up, I have been using the bike for a few weeks now and find that it has exceeded my expectations. I find it to be outstanding for anyone with physical disabilities that might prevent them from using a treadmill, upright bike or elliptical trainer. It also has a fun array of programs that go from easy to quite challenging with resistance levels that go from easy to quite challenging that could even give a physically fit person a good workout. For me the recumbent bike is a lot more comfortable than an upright bike and for anyone looking for challenging programs, there are a number of third party tablet apps out there that can be explored. Some not only have scenic rides but provide demanding coaching as well. This has been a great investment and I would highly recommend it for those who want a convenient and good cardio workout but cannot use some of the more traditional types of equipment.
