Worked perfectly in my PS4 and completely resolved an issue where all discs were getting scratched

Used for a PS4 1215A (1200) Disc Drive Replacement , Worked Great, Easy Install and it came with the needed screw driver (t8) .... Just what I ordered , Just what I needed, TY TY

Switching out the optic drive on a PS4 with this product is simple. Prior to ordering, check the sticker on the outside of your console to identify the model number. This will prevent you from ordering the wrong optic drive. After that, it's basically four ribbon cables and a few screws. Pay mind, you'll need a set of precision screwdrivers to get the PS4 open, and to remove the old blu-ray player. A great to tip is to use a small flat head screw driver to get passed the security screws. You do NOT need to swap the daughter boards, or merry the new one. This generation just needs the entire unit removed and replaced.

One important note: the first unit that was shipped to me was defective. It played DVD and game discs, however, it would not play blu-ray discs. Immediately after installing the new drive check all three different types of discs to ensure your unit is not faulty. Other than that, be happy this is an option and that you don't have to back up your old save data and spend more money purchasing a new console.
