never gets hot enough but works.
USE THE AC ADAPTER, NOT THE USB
VIVIAN C.•October 8, 2017
I initially tried this out with the USB cord and could barely feel any heat. I was actually going to return it, but then tried it again with the AC adapter; it got noticeably hotter. The USB option would have been nice if it worked.
That said, I decided to keep it because the material is actually very comfortable and soft. This is a replacement for a Sunbeam waist heating pad that I no longer have, and compared to the Sunbeam, the Yosoo's belt is much less stiff and clunky. I think the Sunbeam (at least the model I had from a few years ago) used a heavier grade of Velcro, which some people might prefer for the extra back support? The Sunbeam was also larger, meaning there was a lot more overlap of the Velcro for me which made it kind of uncomfortable for sitting up rather than laying down. The Yosoo has some overlap, but because the Velcro material is more pliable, it doesn't bother me. The Yosoo belt is also narrower all around, which feels more comfortable to me since I'm short (only 4'11"). There's also much less...stuff in the way of cords on the Yosoo. The Sunbeam had a larger attachment on the belt itself, as well as a heavier cord; I was always knocking stuff over with it. The Yosoo cord is only about as thick as a heavier
gauge phone charging cord.
What I do miss about the Sunbeam is the different heat settings. I think this one sort of has heat settings, but I haven't figured out how to change them.
Overall, not bad, but I only gave it 3 stars vs. 4 because of the barely functioning USB cord option.

Does not get hot enough
Description doesnt match the product. Advise against buying

Doesn't get very warm. Almost unnoticed. Turns off easily when bumbed at switch site. Not suitable for anything but sitting or lying down. The pic shows a person standing for the display pic which is unrealistic. I had been so hopeful it would help my chronic pain and allow me to turn side to side and still receive the heat to the affected injury but not realistic when it does all the things noted here.
