When I first received these they were very hard to get my foot in but after several days of wearing them I guess they stretched some because my foot slides right in now. I've been wearing them to work everyday and they're very comfy and they fit great. I like them a lot!

This is an update to my earlier report. Started out giving these boots four stars. Upgrading to five. Now that they are fully broken in, I must say that these boots make fit like high-dollar, custom-crafted footwear. Feel great. Comfortable. Durable. And certain to be ordered again should I eventually wear these out. In fact, I may buy an extra pair just to have them on hand.

First got these, I loved the appearance and the quality of the workmanship.

Then, putting them on seemed impossible. Could not get my foot to fit.

But. Having heard about such problems, and the fit once worked out, I tried again the next day with a shoehorn. No luck, horn did not help at all.

Finally, success. Not wanting to give up, I finally figured out how to pull the shoes in order to make my foot slide into the tiny hole. Wow. Great fit. These boots are really comfortable.

And now that I know the secret to getting my foot in the hole, putting on the boots is quick and easy. My word to you as a perspective buyer: Take the time to figure out how to get these boots around your foot. Once you get that first fit, it all turns easy and the shoes feel great.

Would I buy again? Hope not for at least five years. Can only answer that question as time passes. If they hold up well, I will buy again when the time comes.

Purchased dozens of merrel shoes in the past but never this type of boot. Very comfortable and good to maybe 45 degrees. Don't think they are ment to be a hunting boot however I used them for 3 weeks of bow hunting in 60 to 30 degree weather. Held up great. They were half of so good buy but would never pay listed full price. The top 6 inches on leg fit very loose. Anle to tuck in all type of pants but otherwise very loose.

I'm size 11 and they fit perfectly. Comfortable and warm. Zipper seems okay for now. Durable feeling and great grip. Perfect for winters in Maine!

Great comfy boot and a quality Merrill besides. It should be warm and grip onto slippery surfaces well.
