Once you figure out the right power, time, and qty of popcorn to use, this popper is great.

Nice popper for small batches. I use a 1000W Dacor drawer microwave with no turntable. Trial and error has taught me the following:
-Don't try to pop more than 1/4 cup - picture is misleading as you will never get an overflowing bowl of popcorn.
-Lots of unpopped kernels with some brands of popcorn. I found that Jolly Time American's Best White Popcorn Kernels, 30 Ounce (Pack of 6) resulted in the fewest unpopped kernals. (available at Safeway in smaller quantities)
-Popcorn starts to burn if cooked more than 4:15 minutes (ymmv).
-Oils, butter, sugar, and/or seasonings just burn/smoke before popcorn is finished popping; best to add these items after the popcorn has been popped.
Stovetop still makes the best popcorn, but you have to use oil and then have more items to clean up. Once you figure out the right power, time, and qty of popcorn to use, this popper is great.

Works really well but follow the directions! Use power level 8, and it works fine.

Heated up during use to the point that I had to use pot holders to remove it. Silicone is thinner than a similar product I'd hoped to replace. Popcorn had a rancid chemical taste even after I washed and rinsed before use.

Such an easy way to make popcorn. Just put kernels in, add some oil, if wanted, place the top on, and microwave. I usually use olive oil on the kernels to help them pop and it turns out right every time (about 3 min on a 1kw microwave). Simple to clean too. If you like popcorn, this is a must own.
