For as much as we paid for this gate, I expected a LOT higher quality. We've only been using it a short time, but it has already broken in several places. I had to get metal brackets at the hardware store to hold this together. It is still wobbly and pretty insecure.

I have been using this gate for about a month now. I have a Boston Terrier and a French Bulldog, both about 20 lbs each. This gate is perfect if you don't have dogs that jump. I didn't want to screw a gate into my walls or banister, and a tension gate will not work with our banister. I don't want my dogs upstairs, but I have 4 kids that need easy access to get upstairs. This gate is well made, beautiful, and very easy to use. It closes and latches every time we go through it. It has never fallen over, that being said, my dogs do not jump on the gate, and my youngest is 5 yrs old. I don't think it is safe for toddlers as it will fall over if they shove or lay on it. I do recommend this gate, and I would purchase it again!

This gate is perfect for a large room opening. It keeps my greyhound out of the room so she doesn't scratch the floor or rug in that room. It's beautiful to boot!
