Sharp and easy to use. Definitely have to keep the rubber cover on when not in use! I absentmindedly tried to open it from the closed position and the orange locking piece broke leaving it unable to close. With the lifetime warranty, I submitted a claim to FLORA GUARD over the weekend and they sent out a couple new pieces immediately via first class mail. Turnaround time was four days. Just needed to use a pair of pliers to take out the old one and the new one snaps right in place.

These are nice, heavy duty shears, with an extra blade and spring included. Smooth action, extra sharp blade and comfortable handles. I have a small hand and this is as wide as I'm able to open them and still be able to get a good grip. But I have this same problem with any heavy duty garden tool. They all seem to be constructed for tall folks with large hands. Still these are super nice and really well made.
Watch the tip, it is very sharp.

This is a great product. I did however stab myself in the finger more than once, the tip of the blades are very fine and sharp. I also somehow managed to lose the spring that returns the snips to the cutting position. In spite of all that these are very good quality, almost surgical quality. Just be careful not to mutilate yourself when using them. :0

Husband loves loves these. He walks around the yard with these in his pocket and then he clips any dead or straggly greens he sees. He bought two pairs so if he leaves by the garage he has them , if he out back another pair in the shed. As he says don't leave home without them.

As many others have said this is a mighty fine widely useful garden tool. Pick tomatoes. Grapes. Peppers. Prune little stuff. Feels good in my hands. The latch to keep the blades closed works well and is very convenient. The pointy blades sneak nicely into tight spaces.
