Its beefy and has all kinds of bolts and adjustable brackets. Most of the negative reviews come from difficult or improper installation. One review said the accelerator pedal extension does not work with accelerator pedals attached to the car floor (called "organ pedal configuration"). See my picture. I have such an accelerator pedal (2012 Lexus LS460) and it works fine. None of the installation instructions address this configuration. When installed at the lower part of the pedal, it does not work at all. I set up knee pads and elbow pad to be able to get into the small space for installation without pain. I also made a wood mockup of the accelerator pedal to figure out what configuration of spacers and bolts to use. This saved a lot of trial and error. I am mechanically inclined and have a wide array of wrenches and allen wrenches. Note the parts for the extension are part SAE and part metric (!!!). If you are inept mechanically or do not have some good tools, pay someone to do this for you. I am certain it will work.

My 4' 10" wife's SI joint gets aggravated reaching for the original accelerator. She had to stop driving recently. She just tried out the extension and was very impressed with how it worked and how comfortable it is. She wants to return to driving.

These are very simple brake and accelerator pedal extenders for short drivers. The added reach was absolutely necessary for the driver in question and these fit the bill perfectly.

But on to my complaints:
- the instructions are a bit unclear; read them carefully a couple of times before starting the installation. I did, but still had to completely remove the accelerator pedal and start over once.
- the extenders are kind of tough to install. I used an electric screwdriver and still had a difficult. A small clamp might have helped, but a third (and maybe even fourth) hand would have come in handy.

I bought these because I am short. I would have to sit slightly sideways in the chair in order for my foot to reach the gas petal and be comfortable with the steering wheel, I am a very handy woman and I could not insall this,, was only looking for the gas pedal one, the brake was fine... I tried multiple times to install and it just would not stay on the pedal.. So its sitting in a box in storage. And since then the car I bought it for has died, had to buy a new vehicle.

Installing these brake pedal extenders  took about an hour and 15 minutes. As one would imagine with a product that is designed to fit just about any car there was a lot of trial and error involved. All the necessary hardware was included and I just used hand tools to do the install except for mounting the accelerator pedal where I used a power screw driver.

After making many measurements I settled on extending the two pedals out approximately 2". Once I got the extenders installed and properly adjusted I then test drove the car. My wife did the same thing. She's about five foot two I'm six foot so there is quite a difference in how we adjust the seat and wheel. The big concern, and why we bought these extenders, was she was sitting too close to the wheel and if the airbag would go off she'd be too close to it.

Now she's able to have the seat much further back and feels a lot more confident driving the car. All in all a good product but plan on taking at least an hour if not more to install it. Takes much patience to install.

So I am 4'9", with some of the shortest legs out of my family, having these set up has helped so much. I no longer have to sit with my stomach touching the steering wheel, I can sit more comfortably, and feel more comfortable while driving. I really wish I had gotten these earlier. The only downside I have experienced with them was installation. Reaching into the car trying to put these onto the pedals is not easy if you have no way to remove the seat. Getting them into the right position took a few tries, then it was just a hassle to tighten everything down so nothing moves. After all of that I've had no issues with them moving or wiggling of any sort. Would have given 5 stars total if they were easier to install, but overall definitely worth the price for how useful they are.
