This was possibly one of the worst purchases I've ever made. You move this a couple of times and the part that holds all the wooden pieces are starts to spread. The pieces are held up in a lego type of fashion, but the pieces are loose. Eventually I moved it one too many times and the pieces fell, then the screws fell apart. One part of the gate fell, then another, and eventually, it was that.

Having used a variety of mounted pet gates in the past, my dogs no longer attempt to defeat barriers even when they easily could. I liked the idea of a freestanding gate that would allow me to easily move it around the house as needed, but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. These lightweight wooden gates are functional enough, not too awful to look at, and two sets were still affordable. I don't think this type of gate would work for pets that aren't "respectful" of a blockade, though!
The stain on the wood has some missed spots, and the finish is rough in places"”about what I expected at this price point. The shiny silver hinges are the big offense, so I will probably try to paint or even replace them. The photo shows two sets of gates used to block off a wide opening with a pillar; the dog in the picture is a 50-lb Shepherd mix who could easily jump this height but knows better.

I didn't want to give this item any stars to be honest. I requested a replacement and hope that they can redeem themselves this second time but honestly the quality of product I received was unacceptable. The outside box was fine but gate inside was in terrible condition. So much shoddy work-it's poorly painted with lots of the wood showing through, chipped at the bottom, and even broken in one spot but was painted over so it left that way, I'm very disappointed. Leaving this review and will revise pending new gate arrival.
Put it out on the patio and it's perfect. I live at the end of a walk ...

Was just delivered. Put it out on the patio and it's perfect. I live at the end of a walk way so wanted to enclose it so the dog could go bask in the sun without me worrying about her wandering off. She's not the type of dog to push up against the gate so this works great. I would not recommend for someone who has a pet who's not afraid to push the limits and try to get out, as this would easily fall over. It's been outside for about 20 min and she's already loving it. Super happy with this purchase

A great gate, perfect for keeping my dog out of the kitchen at night. Definitely wouldn't recommend for use with a dog who jumps or would push on the gate at all, as it is VERY lightweight. For me the lighter weight is an added bonus, because it is super easy to move! But, it is so easy that my 'cat' can move it if he wants to, so unless u are going to reinforce it somehow, you wouldn't want to use unless your dog is very calm. It also has a nice look, much better than a baby gate.
