Copycat, but improved clip compared to original

This is the BatClip copycat.
Pros: works same as bat clip. Has leather belt loops as well as an actual clip, and unlike the bat clip the clip part is covered in leather. (If you wear the original BC with a leather belt the metal part of the clip will scratch up your belt eventually, this one won't)
Cons: my subjective opinion is both the leather quality and Velcro quality are slightly inferior to the BC- but I haven't noticed a difference in function. I am curious to see if the Velcro wears out after prolonged daily use.
Summary: as of now if I had to choose again I would probably buy this over the original because of the improvements/versatility in the attachment mechanism- although it may not tolerate daily use/abuse as well as the original.
Unrelated side note: I coated both products in a rubber-like polymer myself, just because I wanted better "wipeability" than leather. (Puke happens) I wish the next copycat made a silicone coated version.

No instructions came with it, or even a picture (I didn't have the picture from the add and wasn't sure how it fit in there). Once I figured it out I LOVE IT! It saves my neck!

I bought this instead of the original bat clip because the belt loop was more secure on my EMT uniform. If you are a nurse and do not have access to a belt to loop this item onto your scrubs, then I recommend buying a model that clips into a pocket.
Had some flight medics ask me where I bought the item. It sure beats carrying a stethoscope on your neck all day. It also keeps me safe from accidental or intentional strangulation.
It does fray after time along the edges, possibly because I use a Velcro belt. Fix the fraying early by burning the edges with a lighter.

Very high quality and appears to be extremely durable. My wife is an RN and she got this for her Littman digital stethoscope. It not only protects it from any damage, it also keeps patients from being smacked from a dangling scope.
