I ordered the Silver one and am very pleased with this purchase. I am an active person who work with my hands and enjoys physical activity. My normal wedding band is tungsten carbide, and although I love how it looks, I sometimes worry about the safety of a metal wedding band when working with my hands. On top of that, I would like to keep my normal wedding band in nice shape for special occasions.

This silicone band is designed to break with 20-30 lbs of force. I like knowing my wedding band isn't going to mangle my ring finger if snagged. Compared to some of the other silicone wedding bands I looked at, this one appears to have a more shiny metallic look, which I like. At a glance it looks like a metal wedding band. My normal band is a size 10.5. I ordered a size 11 in this ring and the fit is just right. If you are between sizes I would definitely recommend sizing up. My biggest complaint about this band is the YESJ stamped on the inside of the band. Apparently the makers of SafeRingz have a strong religious faith. That's fine, but I could do with without a Jesus reference on my wedding ring. Just my personal opinion and realistically nobody will ever see it since it is stamped on the inside of the ring. I am unsure about the resilience of silicone wedding rings, but I have been wearing this ring daily for a week and it has held up to my normal tasks. If I feel it fails prematurely I will update this review.

Overall, If you're in the market for a silicone wedding band I would recommend this brand. I will wear this ring as my daily beater and save my real wedding ring for special occasions and nights out on the town. I may consider buying one in a different color as well. I have uploaded some pictures of how the ring looks on my finger as well as a picture of how it looks next to my tungsten carbide wedding band.

My husband was adamant that he wanted to start out with a silicone ring to "get used to the feeling" and also because he has a habit of losing them - we are on our third now! Initially we ordered several different brands and SafeRingz was our favorite in terms of quality, look, and feel. This is the ring he used at our wedding and it looked great! The only complaint is that he says sometimes when he goes swimming, it feels a little loose like it might slip off (but never has).

I found this ring because, if I'm honest, I'm a schmuck. I lost my titanium wedding band in the sleepless nights after our daughter was born and I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars for a replacement right away, so having seen ads for silicone bands, I thought I'd check them out. After a read of the Wirecutter article on the subject, I thought I'd try SafeRingz -- after all, for the price what did I have to lose. I didn't know what to expect, other than what I thought would be a temporary item until we could save up the money for a "real" ring. Little did I know that a couple months later I would be telling near anyone who will listen how great this little ring is!

PROS
Unlike a metal band, the silicone band flexes and stretches. This means that when you shake hands with someone enthusiastic there isn't the pain as your fingers bend. It also means, for me at least, that typing is MUCH more comfortable and I don't have the issue of the ring being overly tight or loose depending on the temperature. I feel the look of the ring is just right for my style. No one on close inspection is going to think this is a high end piece of jewelry, but is has a classic, understated look that I love. For me the "platinum" color was just right to replace my titanium band.

CONS
One of the selling points is that the ring will break under pressure so you don't lose a finger - and there are times when one of my kids grabs it on my finger that I wonder if the ring is about to break. It hasn't yet, and seems no worse afterward, but there are times it feels a little flimsy -- but this is a VERY small concern. The sizing suggestions on the SafeRingz website were very helpful for me in knowing what size to order - but I wish they had them on the Amazon product page as well (they weren't when I ordered).

OVERALL
This ring feels and looks great. It is more comfortable than any other ring I've worn (not that it's a huge sample set...) and if I ever have any issues I will gladly order another. I happily wear it every day and, unlike my metal band, I often forget I'm wearing it until I look down and smile. A wonderful product made even better by a fantastic price.

I gave this as a gift to my son, who hates wearing his wedding ring--and all rings actually. His wedding ring is expensive and it drives him nuts to wear it, so he constantly takes it off and stashes it in a pocket. This makes his spouse sad and it would be a shame to lose the custom made ring. This silicon ring is great. It looks like a nice ring (not plastiky) and he doesn't notice it (much) when wearing it. He still does not like a ring (of any type) on his hands. But now he can wear this when he wants to wear a ring, i.e. when his spouse gets mopey about him not wearing a wedding band.
