I am very happy with this violin. I am 27 and just decided to learn and this is just what I was looking for. I have been playing guitar for 8 years. It looks really good and is easy on the budget. I went with the varnished one. The only issue I had was tuning it for the first time. I broke the e and g string so i put on a new set and it tuned up perfect. I give it five stars (I believe the strings breaking was my own inexperience with violins) I paid $75 after shipping so you cant beat it at this price.
I recommend for beginners.

For the price, it is good enough. mine came with everything in good condition. no damage to the items. the strings took about 5 days to settle into tune. but once it settled, after 45 min of practicex2times per day, it went back in tune by within a half the turn of micro-tuner at the end of the day. this is consistent, and I don't consider this to be going out of tune quickly or grossly. Bow is adequate. not really high quality, but good enough for beginner. no problem with hair. it stays put.

For the price this is an amazing violin setup. It came complete, no damage, and ready to go. I love the purple it has a light flecking of glitter. It really is quite loud. I purchased a dampener for it and you can still hear through the walls. The rosin was not as pictured. And the G peg and E peg need to be pushed in to make them tighter. So I took a star off for that reason. But if you are a beginner this is a great way to get started.

This is an amazing violin for beginners. I bought this violin for my son who wants to learn to play. I did not want to spend alot of money and figured if he liked it I would buy him a better one. I have played all my life and when it got here I could not believe how good the sound was. It is well worth every penny. The case alone is worth the amount you pay for the violin. The bow is not very good but works well for a beginner. I would recommend buying a second bow. The digital tuner works well also
