These are probably the most adorable (though completely unnecessary) dog accessories I have ever purchased. I was ambivalent about buying these because I was worried they would not stay on as I have tried doggie socks in the past that fall off no matter what the size. Since these have no actual foot part however they get don't get caught up on stuff and weighted down while walking outside like socks do! I bought the size large for my 15 pound pug and they fit perfectly (snug but not too tight) and were much easier to put on compared to socks! Also unlike socks she didn't seem to mind them or even notice that they were there (she IS used to wearing clothing though so if your dog is not used to clothing their reaction might differ).
Honestly living in Texas she doesn't truly NEED these even during the cold of winter, but they were on sale and just so adorable that I decided to try them. So glad I did! I was surprised to discover that the "set of 2" actually number 8 individual pieces (the display photo shows 8 but I have been misled my display pictures before). They are surprisingly well made (much like an individual pair of human socks you buy at a boutique) and I have already washed and dried one pair and they held up well in the wash as well!
The only down side, though due to no fault of the product, is that if you walk your dog through high grass in the morning they will become soaked (just like a pair of human socks would) but since it came with 2 complete sets that's not a problem!
The sizing chart IS a bit confusing and I honestly just guessed at the large size for my 15 pound pug. I measured her front paws right above the foot and they are approximately 3 and 1/2 inchs in diameter which was basically a perfect snug fit for the large size if that helps.
